For the choreography of Je t'adore, Marvin A. Smith, international top-choreographer and, to viewers of Eurosong 2006, one quarter of the help team, was called upon. The American has been involved with dancing his whole life. He grew up in South California and took dancing lessons in top schools in Los Angeles and New York. As a dancer, he has worked for the Billboard Awards, Beverly Hills 90210 and the MTV Music Awrads, amongst others. During this time, he gradually turned to choreography and was partly responsible for the stage appearances of artists such as En Vogue and Michael Jackson.
His mission in Europe is to bring the excitement, glamour and quality of Hollywood and Broadway productions to our stages, videos, catwalks and films. As a result, he works on various projects in the world of music, theatre, advertising, etc. For his choreography of the new version of "West Side Story" in the German "Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus" in 2004, he was nominated for a national award. He has worked with artists such a Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Prince and Britney Spears. Even companies such as BMW, Calvin Klein, Armani and Levi's have called upon him for their events or adverts. He also give masterclasses in various dance styles, his speciality being hiphop.
Marvin is currently travelling between the United States and Europe and is involved in a number of projects, the most important of which at the moment is Kate Ryan's choreography for Athens. He is not a choreographer who only creates the dance steps but is involved with the entire look: from the choice of dancers to styling and production. He is a major bonus for the team and will ensure the act on the great stage in Athens will sparkle and sizzle!
