Flemish broadcaster VRT earlier announced not to organize Eurosong next year. Instead, a candidate was chosen in an internal selection: Tom Dice. Tom "Dice" Eeckhout was born in Eeklo on 25th November 1989 and celebrates his 20th anniversary today. Tom Dice became famous after his participation in X-Factor on VTM, in which he finished second after winner Dirk De Smet.
The first and so far only single by Tom Dice - a cover of Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis - reached the seventh place in the Ultratop 50 single charts in Flanders. Manager and record boss of Tom Dice is Maurice Engelen, Tom's coach in X-Factor. VRT plans one show in which Tom Dice will propose one or more songs for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo. |
