Polish broadcaster TVP has revealed the viewing figures of last weekend's Sopot Hit Festiwal 2009. No less than 3.009.000 spectators tuned in for the international competition on Saturday night, won by Belgian singer Katerine Avgoustakis. The show became the most watched televison programme of this summer.

Thanks to her victory in the Sopot Hit Festiwal 2009 with the song Ayo Technology, the popularity of Katerine in Poland increased even more. Her Polish record label MyMusic is currently organizing a concert tour for Katerine in Poland with a total of ten shows. Katerine's Ayo Technology charted in the top 10 of the Polish airplay charts for no less than eightteen weeks of which three weeks on number 1. Her new single Treat Me Like A Lady entered the Polish top 20 last week.

Katerine's victory also got noticed in Belgium. Several Flemish newspapers, magazines, radio channels and online media covered the success of Katerine Avgoustakis in Poland. Moreover the singer received her second invitation for Hit The Road, the tv show on VTM. On Monday 17th August Katerine will perform her new single Treat Me Like A Lady at the recordings of Hit The Road in Willebroek. The show will be aired two days later.
