teaser for the announcement of the Belgian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 that was launched on YouTube last Tuesday, soon led to speculations about the Belgian candidate for Moscow: Elvis Junior, the alter ego of 2006 World Champion Elvis Presley Impersonator Franz Goovaerts, is tipped by most of our colleagues. Copy Cat is the title of the song that already popped up on several websites.
Belgovision.com leaves the honour of confirming the Belgian representative for Moscow to RTBF. Belgium's French-speaking broadcaster will give a press conference at Mirano Continental in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Brussels, on Tuesday 10th March. At this press event, the Belgian media will hear the Belgian song for Moscow for the very first time. On Tuesday 12th May RTBF will be trying for the third time to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest and deliver the first Belgian finalist since Xandee in 2004.
