The girls of Las Ketchup (ESC 2006) sang their world hit Asereje. Kate Ryan could take the stage two times. First with Désenchantée and later on the evening with last year's Belgian Eurovision Song Contest entry Je t'adore. Nana Mouskouri (ESC 1963) sang Va Pensiero from the opera Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi. At the end of the show, the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was presented to Europe.
Furthermore, the show celebrating the 50th anniversaty of the Treaty of Rome featured Zucchero, Ozark Henry, Axelle Red, Maurane, Laurent Voulzy, Scala, Scorpions, Miguel Angel Munoz, Lou Bega, Nadiya, Kim Wilde and UB40 singer Ali Campbell, Maria Ilieva, Hooverphonic, Helmut Lotti and the Gipsy Kings with their version of Volare (Domenico Modugno - ESC 1958). Cerrone closed the show while firework coloured the sky above the Atomium in Brussels. |
