This year, Eén went to all Flemish provinces where regional auditions were held. The thirty best candidates from the five Flemish provinces proceeded to the big audition in Brussels, at which the final candidates for Eurosong for Kids 2006 were selected.
"The candidates and the concept of Eurosong for Kids 2006 will be presented at a press conference in the first half of August," Eén informed Belgovision.com. On Sunday 10th September the Flemish selections for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be launched with an introductory show in which Kate Ryan, the winner of Eurosong 2006, will make her appearance.
On 1st October, the Belgian representative for Bucharest will be known. On 2nd December 2006, Belgium will be taking part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the fourth time. In 2003, Flemish rock band X!nk represented Belgium. The year after, it was up to the Walloon rock band Free Spirits and last year, French-speaking Lindsay represented the host country of the third Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the Ethias Arena in Hasselt. |
